I AM A STRONG WOMAN - Poetry

originally published October 1, 2018

I am a strong woman.

Too strong for most men's taste.

I am a strong woman.

“Too independent,“ is what they say.

But I keep walking my way,

Knowing what I want.

So people with love in their hearts stay,

And those without can leave whenever they want.

I am a strong woman.

Too strong for most men's taste.

I am a strong woman.

“Too independent,“ is what they say.

I've heard this so many times.

That I know too well who I am,

That I am too active, too confident, too honest and blunt -

Everything only a man is allowed to become.

I am a strong woman.

Too strong for most men's taste.

I am a strong woman.

“Too independent,” is what they say.

I have been done with playing small

When I was not even 10 years old.

I am so over smiling and not speaking

And swallowing what I truly believe and want.

I am a strong woman.

Perfectly fine the way I am.

I am a strong woman.

Independent but loving, caring and speaking up for those that can't.

I am a strong woman,

And I am tired of feeling judged and called out for it.

I am a strong woman,

And I don’t want to defend and fight for the rights anymore on which I insist.

I am a strong woman-

Strong and powerful, but soft as well,

Kind, understanding and standing up for women even if that would mean:

"Going through hell”.

I am a soft woman,

A loving woman,

A strong woman.

I am a sexual woman,

An creative woman,

An active woman.

I am a loving woman,

An independent woman,

A curvy woman.

I am a sporty woman,

A smart woman

A woman …………

I am a woman.

I am human.

I am enough.

I am enough.

I am enough.
